DIY Reed Diffuser

I'm a true lover of all things that smell good, especially when they aren't too strong. I also like things to look pretty, and most store bought air fresheners are not so pretty. I've been on a mission to make my own air fresheners and to keep them as natural smelling as possible....oh, and pretty of course! These DIY Reed Diffusers are so simple to make, and you can feel good about them, because you control the amount of scent and the fragrance!
Homemade reed diffuser.
You will need a small glass vessel, almond oil, isopropyl alcohol, essential oil of your choice and rattan reeds.
You simply pour the ingredients in your glass container, mix and insert reeds. It takes a couple of hours for the mixture to travel up the reeds.
Place them in different areas of your home...I especially love them in bathrooms. The scent is not too strong, but just enough to make your home and rooms smell fresh and clean! I've made 6 of them so far using lavender, orange, peppermint and rosemary!

In any craft store you will find wooden strips (pkg of 75 - 100). Because they are absorbent, you should be able to use these instead of reeds. I don't know how long they will take to absorb the fragrance.
