How To Clean Years of Grease Off Appliances

I have a huge grease problem in my kitchen, plus I have black appliances so it shows EVERYTHING. It's just horrible and disgusting. We clean the appliances with the grease cutting dish soap which only does so much. So after years and years of the grease gunk piling on, I decided to try something new: baking soda.
I didn't realize how well this stuff works at cutting grease. I just placed some on to a wet rag and went to town rubbing the grease away.
The top picture was our worst spot of grease. No matter what we did, the grease would not come off. But, just a few minutes later with some baking soda, it magically disappeared!
You can see the before and after again here on the left and right.
It worked so well, I tried it on my microwave too! Success :)

Don't the knobs on the stove just pull off so that you can clean them in soap and hot water? Every stove I have ever had the knobs just come off.

Hi my husband bought me a new stove and my Daughter’s never have time to clean it so now it has a very stubborn burn areas. I have such a horrible time to clean. I decided to just put aluminum foil to cover it but I will try this. I hate it that my stove is so Beautiful but it looks so nasty now. I hope and pray that this works. Thank you so much.

Hi ! Thanks ! I recently got new appliances in a slate finish , a matte , no show finger prints type of finish . But grease is a different story ! I have tried microfiber and water and when that didn't work I tried adding dawn dishsoap. When that didn't work, I called the manufacturer. Just 2 days ago and they said to try baking soda !!!! I will definitely give this a try ☺
