Easter Decor: Yarn-Wrapped Eggs

I made these pretty pastel yarn-wrapped eggs a couple years ago, and they're still part of our seasonal decor! They're easy and fun to make, and you only need a few supplies.
Great in a bowl or jar as part of your tablescape or mantel, you can make these eggs in any color to match your scheme.
You will need yarn, water balloons, craft glue, and water.
Mix 2 parts glue to one part water in a disposable bowl. Cut three 8-10 foot lengths of yarn to cover each water balloon. (Lengths longer than 8-10 feet get tangled far too easily, it's better to use multiple shorter lengths of yarn.) Dip the yarn into the glue mixture, and gently squeeze the excess glue back out.
Wrap your balloons, taking care to overlap the strands, wrapping in many directions. The more times you intersect the yarn, the stronger it will be.
Allow the glue to dry for about 24 hours, turning the balloons every 6-8 hours. Depending on how wet your glue was, you may need additional drying time. You can test whether your glue is dry enough by pressing the balloon, and see if the yarn holds firm, or if it sticks and flexes with the balloon.

I made these YEARS ago for my Christmas Tree! It was way before it became a “trend” and before u could buy the ornaments. My grown kids still remember the time we made most of our decorations… time to do this with my
grand angel who is turning 13 this April. Hopefully she’s “not to big” lol
