I had never used alcohol ink before, so I didn't know what to expect when I first started this project. However, I am thrilled with the way that these pretty stained glass look egg ornaments turned out!
I used alcohol ink on glass ornaments to make beautiful Easter decorations.
I used these Tim Holtz alcohol inks to create the stained glass appearance of the eggs. The alcohol inks dry quickly so this is a very quick project to do.
The inks mixed and overlapped on the surface of the glass ornaments to create gorgeous swirls and color gradients.
Instead of making all the eggs using a rainbow of colors, for some eggs I kept the color palette limited to create these ombre eggs.
I hung the eggs on a flowering branch near a window so that the sunlight filters through the eggs like a stained glass window!

I have done this in the plastic round ornament bulbs as well on the outside only. If you were to do them on the inside you would need some of the long plastic thing-a-bobs lol. I’ve seen them in the hobby car isle. Looks like an eye dropper. Hope that this was a help.
