Boys Pokemon Bedroom Paint Job

My son John loves Pokemon, and while I wasn't crazy about painting his room red and black, I had to admit having a Poke Ball for a room did sound pretty cool.
That, and it only seemed fair to let him choose since he had endured this room for over a year.
This is what his bedroom looked like when we moved in.
After my husband painted the ceilings and the baseboards he started on the red outline.
The flower proved to be a pretty annoying work of art to cover!
But eventually his vision for a Poke Ball Pokemon room started to come to life.
I couldn't believe how much the white lower portion opened up the room. I was happy about that because my fear was that the red and black would make it seem much smaller.
We thought this thing was going to be the death of us!
After lots of measuring a re-taping, my husband finally got the center line taped off.
And the black stripe made it's bold appearance.
I was getting exited by this point because a) we were almost done and b) John was freaking out about how awesome it was and we weren't even finished.
The final details were all coming together....
And a Pokemon Poke Ball room was born! He loves it, and I think it looks amazing. I'm just not looking forward to repainting it in a few years! He's stuck with this until he moves out.
