With Spring here and summer right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to start creating cute seasonal projects! I never knew that glass etching was so easy until a friend of mine introduced me to it. Now I'm hooked! You can etch your own mason jars while watching your favorite TV show! Check it out.
Nothing better than some fresh fruit juice on a warm summer day... and in mason jar tumblers that YOU etched yourself!
For this project you'll need: Stencils, Mason Jars, Tumbler Tops, Glass Etching Cream (you can purchas this on Amazon or at your local craft store), and a Popsicle Stick.
Trim your stencil to fit the mason jar.
If the stencil is a stick on, follow the steps for adhering it to the jar.
Make sure your stencil is flat and smoothed out along the side of the mason jar.
Use a popsicle stick to apply glass etching cream to the jar. Make sure to only get the cream in the stencil and not on your clothing, skin, or other parts of the jar!
Wait 10 minutes for the cream to settle.
Use lukewarm water to wash the cream away.
Remove your stencil.
There you have it!
Now add some mason jar tumbler tops to make your glasses into a cute seasonal sippy cup!
