Bench From 2 Old Metal Chairs

These somewhat ugly chairs became a cute bench using 1x4's and leftover paint. The chairs were primed black and painted with turquoise chalk paint. The 1x4's were stained black & gray and then painted with more turquoise chalk paint. A little polyurethane and it's done.
The chairs had an ugly paint treatment that made them look filthy.
Painted them with black primer. They look better already!
A coat of homemade chalk paint and some distressing.
The seat slats were stained gray and ebony and then chalk painted, sanded & distressed and finally a couple of coats of polyurethane.
All done and waiting at the back door for it's new owner. Looking good there...maybe they won't come get it???
