Old Bed Makes Charming Bench

My mom knows how much I love a good repurposed project and when she spotted this old bed at a thrift store, she has to pick it up.
This bed had amazing details, and I knew it would make a beautiful bench. We cut some pieces off the bed to make the bench work and used some old wood we had in the garage to make the bench "form".
This bench came together relatively easy. You can see all the details on my blog post here: http://www.mycreativedays.com/repurposed-bed-makes-charming-bench/
After we put the sides and the seat together, we added the trim back on and painted the entire bench white.
I distressed around the edges with some sandpaper. This really brought out the amazing features of the bed.
Now, this old bed is a functional, charming bench! Who knew?!
Enjoyed the project?

It is a sin to paint such a beautiful treasure. Makes me cringe.!
