This online tools was very helpful, my search criteria was: long bloom season, perennial...and then for my zone.
I used an online tool at Monrovia.com to choose plants that can be resilient in my zone.
Another long bloom season flower, Dianthus.
These do well in my landscape, so I picked up a few more. I'm adding in a few more river rocks to my flowerbeds as accents, and my solar landscape lights are on order from Amazon!
