Having Fun With Stencils In A Playroom Makeover

Does your playroom seem to be lacking color, pattern, or personality? Achieve the super stylish look you desire in your play space by decorating it with a wall pattern. Today we have a playroom that's whimsical and stenciled!
We'd like to introduce Erin, the proud mama and creative DIYer behind the blog Upside of Chaos. Erin admits that her playroom is a great space but she has despised the color since they moved in about five years ago.
Here is what it looked like before the makeover.
After five years, it was time to take action. Luckily she happen to stumble upon Cutting Edge Stencils at just the right time. Adding a fun stencil pattern was the perfect way to jump start this project. She browsed the website and fell in love with our Sweet Dreams Allover stencil, a whimsical geometric pattern. The first thing Erin did was paint the room using Valspar's Granite Dust.
Then she was ready for the fun part, stenciling! She used blue painters tape to adhere the stencil to the wall and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern.
Are you ready to see how her stenciled playroom accent wall turned out? Erin commented, "Our room feels so much bigger and nicer with the accent stencil! Isn't this the best stencil pattern!"
A before and after shot of the stenciled playroom.
