DIY Striped Floor

Stripes just never get old! And when it came to my office, the flower painted floors just wouldn't cut it! Instead, I KNEW I wanted stripes. There was no doubt in my mind. Unfortunately, it took eleven coats for me to find the right shade of gray!
See this beauty? These flowers were painted on with a SHARPIE! So, yes, it took several coats of white to cover it up!
Using the grain of the wood and the planks as a guide, I filled in gray after painting the entire floor white.
Now, I'm not scared to walk on the floor anymore and I love the stripes!
Perfect for a coastal feel, an easy DIY, and the finish I love!

Hi Amber - I know it’s been quite awhile, but I LOVE your striped floors!!

Wondering how/if you prepped the floor besides cleaning?

I do hope you see this!

    thanks a lot

Love what u did. But also loved the little artsy things too, but they go with a kids room or a craft room I'm thinking.

WOW That floor looks great, and coastal looking, bright and clean looming. Great job
