I love to display rustic decor in my home.

However, finding rustic Valentine's Day decor is challenging from stores.

So rather than buy something that wasn't my style, I decided to make something myself!

Not only do these cuties reflect my style, they are also neutral enough to leave up all year around! But beware.. you may not want to gift these because they are SO CUTE!

Here's what I did:

Simple heart shapes were drawn onto corrugated cardboard first, then cut with scissors.

And don't worry about them being perfect. Imperfect heart shapes makes this idea even more quaint!

Next up, assorted craft supplies were gathered together.

Anything goes! I gathered up mop string, moss, buttons, bark, burlap and more.

The best part about this project is, anything goes! Just choose colors and textures you like to look at.

Each heart was then embellished with the craft supplies using hot glue.

Tip: If you cover a heart in buttons, I recommend painting the heart first to ensure the cardboard is well-hidden.

And the end result are rustic valentines all wearing different textures! Aren't they the cutest?

They can be gifted, use on bulletin boards, or magnets on a fridge!

How sweet is this little sign of love?

Such a fun and inexpensive way to celebrate the ones you love, don't you think?
