Waxing furniture for an aged appearance

before...one coat of aqua under one coat of coral chalk paint
Proper tools go a long way to making the entire process much easier!
our preferred wax
We mix our wax with mineral spirits to create a glaze...this photo illustrates the consistency we are looking for
after applying wax and removing with a clean rag
We use a chip brush to get the excess wax out of the nooks and crannies
after brushing excess out
after final buff to reveal aqua underneath

  • Thanks for this tutorial! I also used Old White and no clear wax, just dark on my first ASCP endeavor. Glad to know I'm not the only one!!! Love your glaze recipe too! Trying it tomorrow!
