Easy Peasy Make Over Of A $5 Dining Chair Into An Elegant Victorian Piece!
I found this little chair at a thrift shop for five dollars and yeah, you know me, I had to get it for a make over!
Normally, I don't like to paint wood but I was going for a specific look so I spray painted it black after I removed the seat. (Don't yell at meeeeeeeeeeeee! haha!)
I re-covered the seat in a scrap of fabric I had in linen closet. Taped my stencil on. (I didn't use stencil adhesive as I didn't want the glue on the fabric. I purchased a stencil roller from Hobby Lobby as well as some black fabric paint and went after it!

I used my stencil Chadwurth:

Came out just right!
I grabbed the same stencil, flipped it up side down and stenciled just the leaves on the back of the chair in metallic gold acrylic craft paint and also painted a few of the decorative turns in the chair legs.
After! I loved how it came out and it was super easy to do! What do you think??
