Creative Pantry Solution for Small Spaces

My sister recently moved into a new home. It's slightly smaller than their previous home, which means less storage space. The major kitchen dilemma is it's lacking a proper pantry. After analyzing the space, she determined the best option was to utilize the Mud Room, located off the kitchen, for extra storage space. She found this old storage locker at a vintage store for $30
Although it wasn't glamorous, it provided the necessary shelving she was looking for.
Upon seeing this, she immediately knew she could work with it. With a little paint and creativity, it'd make the perfect pantry. She settled on Annie Sloan's Graphite and Coco.
Here is how the locker looked after a couple coats. One thing to note, when painting metal, it usually looks a bit more streaky, meaning you often times have to paint an extra coat.
She then updated the handles with Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze.
The final touch was really converting this into a pantry...not just a painted locker. What better way to do that than to label it 'Pantry'?!
Here is now the finished product turned out.
She now has plenty of storage space for food...
and miscellaneous items.
Overall, it was a great $30 solution!
