Great job! Was it difficult cutting, piecing, placing, & decoupaging this onto each drawer front?

  @Mickey B. & Boo Boo , thank you! No, not difficult at all. I lay the chest on it's back and marked the poster before cutting. Then I took each strip of poster, starting from the middle and applied it to the drawer like you would wallpaper. (start from the middle). After it had dried, I went back with an exacto knife and trimmed it up before applying top coats.

  @Pamela Field Did you spread out a thin, or thick layer of glue before laying out the poster? Was that top coat thin or thick? And one more question... did you use a sponge roller to smooth it out while wet? I TOTALLY appreciate your help here. I just bought a small chest & plan on doing this so EVERYTHING you have to offer is gold. :)

  @Mickey B. & Boo Boo Not a thick coat. You'd just have to squeeze it out the edges if it's too much. You also want to be sure you don't leave bubbles. I used a damp sponge to smooth it out, working from the middle to the edges. Don't press too hard and stretch out the paper though. It's easier to keep the bubbles out of the small pieces already cut than the whole poster would be. (I'm guessing. I did it like I would have done wallpaper) I did three top coats of polyacrylic after it was dry over the whole piece. Good luck! Hope to see your project when you're done.

  @Pamela Field I'm working on it... Had to add wood putty to a damaged area & sand. I have a tendency to get too many projects going at once. The holidays don't help. The PERFECT printed paper found me at World Market, so it's finally falling into place. :)

  @Pamela Field Pam I have another question, the paper has a gold, brassy swirl, slightly, through it. I wonder if I decoupage over it, will it dull the shine? It's very thick. The underside has a soft, thin," felty" feel to it. I don't know if a very fine grade sand paper would remove the thin film over the top of the brassy part. ???? I SO appreciate all this help.
