Wanderlust Trunk Makeover

I LOVE LOVE LOVE recreating furniture but vintage trunks are for sure one of my favorites. This one totally spoke to me and wanted to be a traveler!
As I've said before, I'm totally Trunk Drunk on vintage trunks!!
I chalk painted this trunk with van Gogh Fossil Paint in Patina...to.die.for. Blue and sealed it with dark and light wax to get that tome worn feel.
I hand painted the graphic of an Antique Compass Rose on the top and a little Wanderlust and meaning on the front. So Fun!!!
I lined the inside of the trunk with vintage postage tissue paper, then I clear coated it for that perfect seal!
Enjoyed the project?

Hi!!!! I love this! I just bought a trunk at a flea market. The metal edges are rusty. Should i paint over it or try to fix the rusty parts first before painting?
Where can I find the van high fossil paint? And is the patina separate
Where can I find the van high fossil paint that you used on your wonder lust trunk. And did you use a planting? And a brown wax?
