How do I make an over the toilet storage space?

I have a very small bathroom and I would like to build some kind of creative over the toilet storage space that's not just a closed cabinet. I wanted to have a towel rod for hand towels and some sort of open space on top. Do you have anything like that

You can put the towel rod up then add one of these options:
Floating Shelves
Baskets
Drawers
