What is the best way to cover up bathroom wall imperfections, without worrying about moisture building behind whatever is put up?

By imperfections, do you mean bad paint job? Cracks? Peeling wall paper? If they are minor cosmetic imperfections, maybe try just fixing them directly, or hang up some wall art. Macrame wall hangings are trending right now, and since they are made from knotting string, they won't hold moisture behind them.

Yep. You don't say what kind or how bad imperfections. Photos would help or better explanation.

Depending on the severity of the imperfections, normally you can spot repair areas with drywall mud. Apply it, level it smooth, sand it when dry, wipe away dust & paint the area. Or of course you can just hang a picture over the spot if you need an instant fix! ;)
