How difficult is it to replace outlet boxes (cardboard type)?




i have the old cardboard type electrical outlet boxes in my master bath and they are deteriorating and need to be replaced with the new plastic ones.

If that is what you currently have in your entire house, I would seriously consider rewiring the entire house. Hire an electrician. May even have your homeowners insurance ho down too. See if this helps?

Are you sure they are cardboard? This does not seem quite right, especially if they are old, as this material used for electrical in a bathroom never was to code. Could you post a picture of one so we can see exactly what it is that you are working with?
