Updated Guest Bath - DIY With Just A Little Paint
Paint is the best way to update just about anything. You could remove all hardware and soak in a crock pot overnight on low. In the morning use an old toothbrush to scrub anything that remains. You could re-attach hardware as is or paint everything another color too. Best of luck to you.
