I will be removing the filtered water faucet to DIY a concrete countertop, but I don't know how to plug the remaining hole to make this work. Any ideas?

You could put a soap dispenser in that spot, or get a plug from your local hardware store.

Get a wood dowel that will fit the hole tightly. Or get one that is slightly oversize and whittle it down to fit the hole tightly. Cut it a little longer then the countertop depth. Slather it with wood glue and slip it in the hole until it's snug leaving some above the countertop height. Once the glue dries use a saw to cut it flush with the counter.

Hi Gretchen these come from Home Depot but I am sure you can find some in other hardware stores

    Gretchen,
I'm not sure what you want to do. Do you want to permanently fill the hole or plug it while you do the concrete coating then remove the plug so the filtered water tap can go back in?

no...I am wanting to fill the hole securely, so that I can do a diy concrete treatment over it to make it appear that it was never there.
