What can I do to a cultured marble vanity top to make it more appealin

That's an expensive slab of marble and I can see why it's not feasible to replace it. Have you picked the brains of professionals without hire one or searched on specialty websites? I've been thinking about epoxying over my vanity for the same reasons you cite. Perhaps you consider filling in the chipped areas and covering the entire counter with epoxy.

I am the expert. If it is dull, someone has used Comet etc. to clean the clear coat. That's what makes it shiny. When first made, we cleaned the vanity with Automobile clear coat polish which you can find at Wal-Mart etc. or auto parts store. Use a soft rag, rub on the polish and buff with a dry rag. You may have to do this several times depending on the damage. When you get the shine back, use a good car WAX and follow directions. As for the nicks, I cannot tell you haw to fix. too complicated. If small, use clear nail polish to fill the nicks. before waxing.

Or instead of epoxy, use liquid glass?

Ligordon has really good suggestions. One of my "make it do" mantras is if I can't hide a decorating problem, emphasize it. I would use the soft greens as a starting point for succulent based decor, possibly with driftwood accents. If that is too busy, succulents look great in plain white containers and you could carry the colors to accessories in the room including wall decor. A mix of green and soft white towels would be nice. Instead of succulents you could emphasize a gorgeous houseplant and go from there. In any case, it is a beautiful piece of marble and you will find a workable solution that is just right for you!

I think Coni's main goal here is to change the look. Not necessarily restore the shine shine like it is. I may be totally wrong, but I think she is asking is their any way to change the appearance. She does not like the green.

Wonder if there is some type of acid wash or something you might use on concrete to stain or change the appearance like they do flooring in homes or around patios?
