Inspired by some beautiful artwork, I recently updated our home's only full bathroom. But by the time I got to the fixtures, the budget for this room refresh was gone. I've had good luck spray painting bathroom fixtures in the past and decided to do it again!
Here is the bathroom vanity area before. I really wanted a warmer look that I knew a rich brass finish could provide! My 25 year old self would have thought I was crazy. I used to hate brass.
Lightly sand, then tape off and surround your faucet to protect the area from overspray. Then, lightly spray the faucet in a back and forth motion. I did two coats.
This is the end result. Much warmer, and works with the other finishes in the bathroom better.
I also spray painted the light fixtures using the same technique. Easy!
The last time we spray painted our bathroom fixtures, they held up for about 3-4 years before they started showing scratches that we had to touch up. I'm good with that- we'll just touch them up then.

Have a question about this project?
I looked at the link to the entire bathroom and love it! Great job! But my question is, what color did you use on the wainscoting and was it easy to paint? I have the old traditional bead board wainscoting throughout my house and can't really afford to replace it all right now, but really want to change it! 😉😕 Thanks!!! 😁
Our faucets are cruddy because of hard well water. How easy is this to clean, is it damaging to the paint?
What product do you use to clean the painted faucet?
