Gorgeous Shabby Chic Furniture Refurb Using Krylon Looking Glass Paint

by DIY Fun Ideas
(IC: blogger)
I recently refurbed an old dresser and night stand using Krylon Looking Glass Paint. It turned out pretty amazing. I was initially going for a mirror-like finish since Looking Glass paint is used to give glass a mirrored finish. Apparently, it doesn't work that way. Painting on an opaque surface gives a different finish. It's more of a gun metal. I did purposely go lighter and heavier on different parts of the two pieces to give it a bit of an uneven finish. I love how it turned out.

Here's the finished dresser.
And here's the finished night stand.
This is my blank dresser canvas.
And the blank night stand canvas.
I started with the drawers
Dresser drawers primed.
Night stand primed.
Several coats of the Looking Glass paint followed by sealer.
Added some amazing mis-matched drawer pulls.
And again, the final dresser.
And final night stand. Lot more pictures and full tutorial on the blog, so check it out!

I saved this article a few years ago. Used your instructions to create a beautiful dresser for my S-I-L. Now, re-purposing a display cabinet for my husband's Locksmith Shop. I dug DEEP to locate this pin! NOTHING like this method! 😊
