West Elm-inspired Wood Tile Dresser

This project won the Knockoff Round in Creating with the Stars 2013. Created by Amanda of Love and Renovations (http://loveandrenovations.com/), this vintage dresser was transformed into a knockoff of a similar dresser at West Elm. Wood tiles were cut using a chop saw, were both whitewashed and graywashed to create variety and were glued directly to the drawer using wood glue and clamps. The pulls are also handmade using wood dowels spray painted with Oil Rubbed bronze. See the full tutorial here http://bit.ly/14lwtow

The use of wood to replicate tile is inspired. Plus there's so much more you can do to the wood to change the look or style and it doesn't add the weight you would get from using real tile. Good job!
