Hi! So here's my monthly furniture fab flip post! I'm having fun turning old furniture into new fab designs! All of them seem to revolve around my daughter's "trash picked" furniture, so, lucky her!
This month's theme was Geometric Design. This is my first HomeTalk submission & I need to post my previous ones soon :) In the mean time I hope you enjoy this flip as much as I did :)
Above is our Fabulous Hosts & here is my Faded Brown Nightstand. My daughter has fancier tastes than I do so I really wanted this to be as bright & fun as she is :)
It was in bad shape. I trashed picked this 4 years ago & all I did with it so far is give it a really good scrub! I then used a bright white chalk paint as the base before I used my really fun shimmery paints.
General Finishes paint was our sponsor this month. I went for their new Pearl Effects line. It came out a really pretty shimmery, pearlescent white.
I also paired it with a gold that was named Gold Champagne & it turned out to be a perfect match together :) I used the gold on the grid on the front door, inside of the drawer and cabinet completed the sunburst for the geometric design.
Here was her fun reaction when I told her I was using these bright & fun colors :D
For the sunburst I measured out from the center & then used a ruler & pencil to drawer out the pattern.
I taped off each section to get nice sharp lines & I think the pattern came out great!
Voila! A beautiful Sunburst in Pearl & Gold Champagnes.
Here's the rest of the end result. I really love how this came out. It really brought out new life to this night table.
Be sure to check out the hashtag & our Fab Flipping Contest Facebook page for more flipped projects. There are so many fabulous ideas & designs! I love the Geometric touches that each one did. They turned out Tres Magnefique! :D Thank you for stopping by mine.
