Side Table Update

Daughter was looking for a bedroom side table for extra storage and I was given this one for free. Can't say this was exactly her style as she promptly pointed out to me. I assured her that with a little paint and hardware change it would look totally different.
Solid piece but outdated for sure. I removed the hardware and used wood filler to fill the original holes left from the hardware. I lightly sanded as the surface was quite shiny. Given that, I then applied a coat of fresh coat primer (Benjamin Moore).
The primer didn't take long to dry. Two coats of Fusion mineral paint was then applied. (Casement). Holes were drilled in the drawers to accomodate the new hardware. Picked these up at a liquidator, 6 handles for $5. Will save the other 4 for another project. I would recommend drilling the new holes before painting in case your measurements are off. As was my experience the first time. Oh well, live and learn.
I had the paint leftover from another project, the side table was free and the 2 drawer handles were under $2. Here it is complete.
Enjoyed the project?
