Teak Dresser Refresh
This has to be the biggest score of my career 😆 you don’t even wanna know how good of a deal I got!…. But I’ll tell ya anyways ;)
I always browse the FREE SECTION on Craigslist… the odd time you can find some good stuff. Well this day it was a great find!
someone had posted free dresser and queens mattress and box spring. But if you wanted the dresser you had to take the beds. they had so many responses, but no one who wanted all of it. So We out the trailer on our car and picked up 3! Than on the way home we stopped by the dump and tossed the old beds haha. Perfect!
Before.. if your unaware why I’m so excited. It’s because teak dressers cost an upward of 1000$ minimum!!!
I sanded the wood down enough to take out most imperfections
I bought teak oil by minwax from rona. This was the first time using this!
So satisfying!
After I taped off the bottom once I filled a chip out of the wood.
Than I primed the base trim with bin shellac zinsser primer. I had to do like 3 coats because it was a bleeder. (Old wood for ya 🙄)
i wanted to leave as much natural as I could! But I also wanted to give it a modern flare. I painted the white a slight off white :)
All done!!
