Back to School Organizing Closet

by Salvaged Living: Decorating & DIY

time brings back images of sharpened pencils and blank construction paper. Being prepared and organized for the coming school year always held such promise. Now, as a mom, just getting everyone out the door with all their stuff can be a major task!
Today I am sharing a small spot in our home that lends itself to organized mornings and punctual arrivals. It started with this small coat closet that really served no purpose, other than possibly holding, well....coats.
With just a few additions a simple, budget friendly school organizational closet was made!
Each of my kids got their own hook. You can find one anywhere...Target, Home Depot, Walmart. Be sure to anchor with a sheet rock anchor if you go straight into the drywall. Backpacks can get heavy.
I bought the three cubby bench at Target. You could make your own, use baskets or even crates.
I hope you will make sure to follow Hunt & Host here on Hometalk for more project inspiration, then head over to the blog for more decorating tips and junk to treasure transformations!

What kind of light did you use inside of this closet? I love how this turned out so much! Thanks for sharing! :)
