Build this easy, beginner build Nerf gun peg board holder to organize Nerf guns and foam bullets.

My boys love Nerf guns, but I dread them being left around the house with bullets scattered in every room!

I actually made this Nerf gun peg board with my little man almost a whole year ago…but never got around to sharing the project because our house was struck by lightning and caught fire a couple of weeks after we made it. Since I’ve been participating in monthly blogging challenges this year, I knew I had to finally share this awesome project for the Build It For The Home Organizer challenge!

Let’s Build It Together!

Supplies:

  • Peg board
  • 1X4 pine boards
  • Spray paint
  • Stain
  • Miter saw
  • Air nailer
  • Electric drill
  • Kreg Jig
  • 1″ Wood screws

Spray paint the peg board and let dry

Time to build the frame! I did not include dimensions because you can make your peg board as big or small as you’d like! I used the miter saw to cut angled cuts.

I cut a template on a small piece of wood and used that to help be my guide.

I used my Kreg Jig to make pocket holes to join my frame together.

Here is the frame all complete!

Next my little guy helped stain the frame.

We used wood screws to attach the peg board to the frame. Lay the frame stain side down and place the peg board on top of it, also paint side down. Attach with screws.

I wanted to have a top ledge on the peg board so that my son would be able to display his sport trophies, so I nailed a top piece to the frame.

I attached the peg board to the wall using D-Ring hooks and then hung the Nerf guns using Peghooks.

We love how it turned out!

My little guy made a video showing off his new Nerf gun peg board! He loved it!
