The plastic drawer sets. Put two or three together, a piece of wood to go over them and they have a place for a TV, mini fridge or whatever. Under the bed boxes will fit perfectly under the beds, they may even be able to stack two on top of each other. At least two stacks will give the guys a lot of storage room. No telling how many stacks they can fit.
Hi! In my daughter's dorm room, we used colorful storage boxes under the bed, we hung a shoe organizer on the back of the door of her closet/drawer unit (it was great for keeping everything from socks to belts). We used bed risers (you put them under the legs of the bed to raise it higher to give her more storage). She also had a small trunk she could lock things in that was attached to her bedframe with a bicycle lock, where she kept things like small electronics. It slid under the bed.

Also, have him use Command hooks and picture frame holders so he doesn't damage the walls.
