How to redo the Guest room/son’s room?

We want to redo the guest room but include our son’s room for when he visits. He is moving to a residential home for disabled adults and we are using his room as an office.
Not wanting to “displace” his things and feel
at home on visits we are needing to combine these rooms.
Problem is I’m thinking of a Victorian type theme and he’s a male. Not quite his style.
Not sure how to combine these styles.
Since he’s older 22, it can be more updated than posters but I’m stuck for great ideas.

Newly decorated guest room.
My son is HFA. What I’ve done is keep same colors, stored his bedding so it can be put back, as well as stuff on his walls. I have “guest” bedding, things to hang on same wall hooks, “Knick knacks” to change in and out. Not exactly guest room fancy but nice enough when I switch things out.
Hi Judy, you could try to find a way to separate the areas with dividers once he is home, keeping all his possessions in sight for him, and tucking them away when he leaves. Hope this gives you some ideas,
