finally installed the sliding glass door leading out to the new deck. The new sliding door was given to us as it didn't work for someone else and they gave it to us...it is a perfect fit.

The old window

ugly old and useless.....

removing the old window

the window was an old single pane that just did not work and was not energy efficient either...

cutting the size we need
rebuilding the frame work and joist

we had to also rerun some electrical wiring as it had an electrical plug right under the window and the wires ran along the wall to the next plug.

frame work all ready

frame work went pretty easy and right about here it started to rain as well...

after placing flashing and sealant we place the door in...the secured it in.

we worked right through the rain....

trimmed it and added the screen door

I will have to do touch up painting to match the rest of the house as the chicken coop was here....

view from inside...

we still have to do the trim inside.....considering the cost of the door, an having to do electrical, the cost of 200 is not bad for new slider....

Sheer curtain panels...

put the sheer curtain panels up that frame the new slider nicely.
