Perfect Foyer Table For A Narrow, Shallow Space

Our foyer is a narrow space, with just one short wall for a table. As much as I craved another spot for decorating, and a place to drop keys, I didn't want to be tripping over a large table every day.
I found four porch posts at a vintage sale, brought them home, and asked my husband the engineer to built a foyer table with the posts.
He found some scrap 2x2's for the top, but was concerned that this shallow of a table wouldn't be sturdy enough for a house with four teenagers and two dogs. He had visions of this table being bumped into and literally doing "the splits."
After several phone calls to local bike shops, we had the solution. A free bicycle wheel made the perfect quirky "brace" for our table. Two small screws secure it to the legs.

Really neat idea for the small space in my entranceway. Very creative.

Perfect table for my narrow bathroom. Will try to make it since I am in process of complete bathroom redo. Thanks!
