Do you have any ideas about building a kitchen island

Remove some of the drawers and make shelves. Sand down and paint a white or off white. It doesn't have to match the rest of the cabinets. the coffee table top shouldn't be too much bigger than the dresser. Pictures would be helpful if you have them.

We painted an old buffet and added a wood top. We made the top larger to make a bar for stools and put brackets under the overhang.
