Is there a way to make furniture making easier?

Depends on what you want. If you are making rustic furniture from construction lumber, that is relatively easy. Making fine furniture takes a lot of skill and a large investment in good tools.

Speak with your instructor. Yes the first few projects may be a struggle, but that is how you learn and gain experience and confidence. You will make mistakes - learn from them when you do. Sharon provided some excellent reference sites. My dad was GC but his passion was furniture making, stick with it. More than half the furniture in my house was made by my dad. Some of it has taken a beating over the years but to me, it is priceless and far better made than any commercial product you can purchase in any run of the mill department or furniture store.
