Take a look at my recent up cycling project. I had two old ottomans just hanging around and I could not get rid of them at the thrift store. So instead I decided to create something new and with just a bit of creativity I created a brand new lounge chair. Some scrap wood, and a sham and we're good to go!
The first step was to strip the old upholstery from the ottomans. Once the old upholstery was off, I was able to start from scratch and create a whole new look!
Then, once both of them were stripped, I bolted the two ottomans together! Now it is one piece!
Using some scrap wood, I created a wood back and arms for the lounge chair. I then covered the seat with an inexpensive twin bed cover. Coming together slowly... You can also choose to paint or stain the wood.
I then used a covered sham as the back cushion, and that's it! The project is complete! I love my new lounge chair and I hope you do too! This can also be used as a day bed!
