Update a Terracotta Pot for Summer

30 Minutes
I'm always looking for ways to update stuff I already have laying around, or that I've found at garage sales, estate sales, and thrift stores for cheap. I had these terracotta pots with bases, and decided to give them an update for summer using paint and napkins. If you love updating and upcycling, you'll love my page with all of my repurposed and upcycled creations.
I spray painted the pots and bases with spray paint.
I found these fun summer beverage napkins at JoAnn Fabrics on clearance.
After cutting the napkins into strips, I used Mod Podge to glue the strips to the bottom of the pot.
Because the pot is angled inward, I made sure to overlap the strips more on the bottom than on the top.
I glued the excess edges around the bottom of the pot.
I then finished it with another coat of Mod Podge. After it cured for two days, I sprayed it with acrylic sealer to withstand water.
I planted some succulents inside and that's it - an easy project to bring some color to our outdoor table. I recently wrote a post with all of my tricks for planting and keeping succulents alive - for a long time!

So pretty! I've been working on my plain flowerpots this year. I like this idea. I still have several pots to do but I ran out of flowers so I'll do some of these now so they are ready for next year.
