What do I do to protect a patio under a wood deck? I would like to put furniture on the patio, but afraid of rain damage.

Does the water drip down on to the patio from between the deck slats, or is the deck solid? Is the furniture you are thinking of putting on the patio rated for outdoor use?

My patio furniture sits out all year long. I have metal and glass furniture and is just fine. Granted it doesn't snow where I live, but it does get blazing hot come summer. Just cover it with a tarp in winter when not in use.
