Suggestion on how to make full-size bicycle-dedicated shed for my son?

I want to clear the space inside the house and instead have his bike stored outside. There are ready made tarpouline made bike covers available but prefer to create a shed that houses alone his bike

Larry, it is hard to find an available space that is deep enough for a bike and a door big enough for a bike to pass through. Keep in mind that as he grows, his bike will get larger, so you don't want to tie yourself down to a space that will prove to be too small.
Instead of having a shed, how about a "shared space", i.e., one that is not built in. That way later you will not have to patch what you build out. Keep in mind that it won't be many more years until his "ride" will be in the driveway and you will no longer need a bike room but a wider driveway! (This will come a lot faster than you expect!)
Why not put up a curtain rod that attaches from the ceiling behind the sofa where there is a bike rack where he parks his bike. He could enter from the end and just put it in place. Place the sofa to where his handlebars would not be a problem.
Here is a link for shower curtain rods that hang from the ceiling.
This may not be your perfect choice, but when kids arrive, our perfect world changes drastically. And there is not a thing wrong with a bike sitting on a bike rack beside he TV or under the window on the front wall. A house is for us to use to meet our needs as we go through life.

What about a small shed with a mini garage door that can be pulled up or down allowing a decent amount of access. I understand not wanting stuff to sit out. It can be an eyesore and encourage theft.

A lean-to would work well. If you're a DIY person, its like building a box against the side of the house. Tilt the roof for water runoff and use sliding doors so the bike goes in easily.
Home Depot and Lowes sells bike storage but they're over $1000! Save $ and buy plywood.
