How do I build shelves to go under my bed?

It is a wood pole frame king size bed. Can I use boxes or shelves from an old dresser? I need ideas for this project, thank you!

Wood supplies can be expensive. My personal choice is more economical. I use space bags or low profile plastic bins. Some bins even have wheels. The slide very easily under my beds that are on risers and are not likly to damage hw floors or carpets.

The ideas suggested are great. Before I bought storage bins, I went through everything I "had" to store. Turns out, I needed to get rid of more than 1/2 of it. Some went to charity and others went to the trash. After I purged the stuff I didn't need, I got clear storage containers so when I pulled one out, I could see exactly what was in it. I also put a skirt around the bed so the boxes were hidden. Good luck!

But shelves on runners they are for kitchen cabinets. I can get any size & use bed risers.
