How do you build a makeshift closet?

Question

My main floor in my old house does not have any closets. I would like to make one to hang coats, plus, I am disabled, have to sleep in my recliner, so would like to make something to hang my clothes, as it is too hard on me to carry them up the stairs.

As a caregiver, I also hate to see people sleeping in a recliner. I have set plenty of beds up in the living room so a person can get a good nights sleep. If you need help doing this, call some local churches to find volunteers. In our town many seniors and teens volunteer to help the elderly and disabled.

Try IKEA for all kinds of closets. Some are elaborate and some are very simple. Look online before going to the store, if you have an IKEA near you. They deliver and you can get someone to put the item together for you if you are unable.

Yes they as well as home Depot and Menards carry these options if you can have someone measure the area for you, and you know someone who can assemble it you can take up entire wall then it would don't be a focal point and you can usually order online so you don't have to go to store just make sure that on day it is delivered you have people home to open it up before you accept this package because unfortunately things can and do get damaged. It's no different then you would do in the store. No one wants to make several trips so they ask to see contents their. I'm sorry that you have become limited in your own home. I hate to state the obvious but think about selling an getting a ranch. Due to me that is what we plan on doing and redoing bathroom if no walk in shower I really shouldn't be showering in the tub due to seizures. I don't want to Leave our home just yet but health comes first. May our Lord always be with you stretching you and giving you the faith to know that He will always be with you. Many cities now have some kind of elder care network that has volunteers to help older people with any thing they have trouble doing. Perhaps you could get help with constructing a closet for you.
