I have something exactly like this to keep my little dog from jumping from the back seat to the front. I have been putting my purse in front of too. It turned out to be a great two for one solution for me.

Whatever it is, all the compensation from your car insurance won't be any comfort if you get into an accident from fumbling around to pick your bag up off the floor when it slides off! Be safe when you drive!
