Anyone know a cleaner for potentiometers?

My son collects vintage video games. He's amassed a tremendous collection. Probably worth hundreds of thousand of dollars, Keep telling him to sell them on Ebay. He uses rubbing alcohol to clean contacts, switches, etc. WD40 to loosen any tight components. -

I used to be a DJ at a radio station and we always used a little rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth.
