I use easy off spray leave a few minutes, wipe off then rinse with water and sponge and paper towel dry. I have self cleaning oven only use for the glass. I also use easy off to get paint drips off tile floors and to clean glass shower doors.
before you use any chemicals, you DO want to see if this is a self-cleaning oven. if so, use the button and wait for it to cook off. Chemicals will only mess up a self cleaner.
Before you use self clean mode, insure it won't damage the "mother board". Try a paste of baking soda and water, overnight. Scrub next day with wet paper towels.
