How do I keep silver serving pieces from tarnishing ?

Fabric stores carry a tarnish cloth that you can make "pillow cases" for your pieces. Just make one end longer so you have a flap and you can close it over the top. No more polishing!!Helpful Reply -

Put chalk in the case. It won't totally prevent it, but it sure slows it down.Helpful Reply -

The fabric mentioned in the prior response is magic. Back in the day it was hard to come by and very expensive.My mom and I would clean the silver then wrap up in saran wrap and stored in a dark cabinet. It did work to a certain extent. I can't be bothered, I just let it tarnish and clean when I want to use.Helpful Reply -
