How do you remove a plastic table cloth from an outside a grill

Question

During a cookout, a table with a plastic cover was near the grill.  During cooking the wind blew the table cloth near the grill.  We now have colored plastic affixed to the outside of the grill.  See picture.

There is a product called 'Goo-gone' that might help you.  It is flammable while wet, though, so use caution.  I use it for tar, gum, ink....all kinds of tough things.....

Was gong to suggest GooGone or lemon oil furniture polish. If it doesn't work right way, try wiping fingernail polish lightly over the bag to bubble it, then the lemon oil product. You also might use a plastic scouring pad before the oil. Surprised the hot grill did not darken the plastic or cause it to bubble. If all else fails...modern art :(

Lay grill on its side then apply dry ice use gloves as not to burn your hands put ice on long enough to harden plastic scrape and repeat,dont just leave it on there it could warp the metal,then use wd-40 to clean final left overs

Chill area with ice cubes. Remove with dull straight edged razor blade.  If that does not work completely, heat area well and scrape with razor blade.

Try ice and a scraper. No toxins and if you get a small edge up you should be able to get it to release without damage to the finish on the BBQ

I would use a heat gun or blow dryer to soften the plastic enough to peel it off. You will probably have to hear it a little at a time and work it off slowly.

any oil will probably do it, WD40,  goo gone, plain old cooking spray.   Let it sit, scrape it off with a plastic scraper.   Wait for a warm sunny day to let the metal warm up and make removal even easier.

Warm up grill? No to hot and with plastic or wood spoon, take it off.

Get it off the same way you got it on there, warm the grill up, or use a heat gun if you have one... When the plastic starts to get soft, scrape it off with a heavy plastic paint scraper.

Hi Sam, you can try to heat it up with a heat gun or by lighting the BBQ carefully use a metal scraper or putty knife to loosen the plastic and scrape off, you can always paint the BBQ with BBQ paint afterwards if you scrape the enamel.
