All Natural DIY Wood Dusting Spray
I can’t remember the last time I bought dusting spray from the store, it’s so easy to make yourself.
What ingredients are in homemade wood dusting spray?
- Water
- Castile Soap
- Walnut or Olive Oil
- Lemon Essential Oil (optional)
Water: I recommend using distilled water, which means it’s gone through a purification process. You can purchase distilled water at your local grocery store or alternatively, sanitize by boiling your own water, letting it cool before using.
Castile Soap: this is a non toxic, biodegradable soap made from vegetable oils such as olive oil, coconut, hemp, jojoba and others. You can purchase castile soap at your local health store or online.
Walnut or Olive Oil: either of these oils work well for this recipe, giving an added boost of nourishment to wood surfaces.
Lemon Essential Oil: for an added cleaning boost, I like to add a few drops of lemon essential oil. Lemon helps cut through grease, shine surfaces and deodorize.
How to make this DIY wood dusting spray recipe…
- 1 Cup Distilled Water
- 2 Tsp Castile Soap
- 1 Tbsp Walnut Oil (or Olive Oil)
- 3 Drops Lemon Essential Oil (optional)
Directions…
- Using a measuring cup, add water, soap, oil and 3 drops of lemon essential oil (optional).
- Mix together and pour into a reusable spray bottle.
- Simply spray on wood surface and wipe clean.
Essential Oils For Cleaning (optional)
Add 3 drops of lemon essential oil for an added boost to your dusting spray.
Essential oils are a convenient way to add some extra cleaning power while also adding fragrance.
