How do I get mildew out of a tablecloth?

Bought my mother a tablecloth in Denmark, she washed it and left it scrunched up, so it got all mildewy. Help!

Hi Alix, I found this answer online:
How to Remove Mildew from Fabric - Method 1 Washing Towels, Clothing, and Linens
- Dissolve 2 cups (408 grams) of borax in 2 quarts (2 liters) of warm or hot water.
- Add your mildew-stained fabric into the solution and let it soak for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Gently brush your normal detergent into the fabric.
- Wash on the highest setting allowed for your fabric.
- Air-dry the item, and repeat the cleaning process if necessary.

  Chances are if you purchased in Denmark, it is linen. This will help.

  Do not use bleach, it weakens the fibers and over time yellows or grays the fabrics.

Bleach is corrosive to, and weakens linen fabric. Do not use bleach on linen fabric
